Angela Gheorghiu as Adriana Lecouvreur at Vienna State Opera

The production, signed by the famous British director David McVicar, was first staged at the Royal Opera House in London, in 2010. February 16, 2014 is the opening night in Vienna. For the six performances scheduled on February 16, 19, 22 and March 4, 8 and 12, Angela Gheorghiu will be joined on stage by Massimo Giordano (Maurizio), Elena Zhidkova (Principesa de Bouillon) and Roberto Frontali (Michonnet). The orchestra and chorus of the State Opera is conducted by Evelino Pido.
