Salzburg Festival 2016: Nestl� and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award - The three finalists have been chosen

[ Din categoria News ] [ Data articol: 2016-05-10 ] [ Din localitatea Salzburg ] [ Tara Austria ]   Ciar�n McAuley (Ireland), Alexander Prior (Great Britain) and Aziz Shokhakimov (Uzbekistan) � the three young finalists competing for the 2016 prize during the Award Concert Weekend have been chosen. The previous year�s winner, Lorenzo Viotti, who has already gone on to conduct such renowned orchestras as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra recently, conducts his Prize Winner�s Concert at the Felsenreitschule on August 7. The Nestl� and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award takes place this year for the 7th time. Once again, interest was tremendous: 86 candidates from 4 continents and 35 countries applied for the Award, which has developed into one of the most coveted international honours for young conductors.
